The Library Foundation of New Hanover County was established in 2005 as a fund-raising organization to augment the needs of our century-old Library.   Through the contributions of 87 very generous Founding Donors, endowment funds were created to provide a sound financial base for the future of the Library.   Subsequently, evenings with authors Pat Conroy, John Berendt, John Bul Dau, and the Coastal Cohorts musicians were sold-out fund-raisers.   These were followed by   Food for Thought, a highly successful farm-to-market showcase and community outreach event.   Ongoing contributions to the Foundation will help our Library to continue to provide more books and materials, exceptional programs, and informational services for every segment of our growing community.
